Job Description

AECOM is seeking a BIM Specialist to support our Canada Region within the Water Business Line, based in Burnaby, BC.

As a leading firm with diverse projects in planning, engineering, design, and digital solutions, AECOM offers exciting opportunities for growth. Digital AECOM is part of our innovation ecosystem, comprising over 2,000 digital practitioners dedicated to creating sustainable and equitable infrastructure solutions.

As a member of the Canada Region digital team, you will collaborate with Water Business line professionals across Ontario and other regions to advance our global digital strategies.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, customer focus, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and readiness to apply their expertise in AEC Design and Digital Consulting projects.

The responsibilities for the BIM Specialist include:

• Assisting in creating and modifying 3D models, drawings, renderings, and animations for proposals and promotions.
• Collaborating with departments to integrate imagery into presentations using existing software.
• Helping to develop or maintain BIM standards, processes, and goals.
• Supporting project teams and producing drawings using established standards.
• Working with design teams to develop BIM standards and specifications.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or engineering technologist diploma with 2 years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Critical thinking skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and ensure completion.

Preferred requirements

• Experience in water or wastewater plant design or piping design.
• Experience with BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud for multi-discipline projects.
• Extensive experience with Revit, Civil3D, and/or Plant3D.

Additional Information

Salary range is approximately $65,000 to $85,000, depending on location and qualifications.
