We are now hiring a Workers Compensation Case Manager to work virtual (work from home). This role requires that qualified candidates reside in one of the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan. Job Title: Workers Compensation Claims Manager

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team to ensure the efficient intake and management of workplace injury claims in line with provincial requirements and our client’s policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Management: Open claims with the Quebec Workers’ Compensation Board (CNESST) and manage them proactively to minimize time-loss and costs.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate and analyze reported incidents to identify and address issues promptly.
  • Communication: Maintain regular and open communication with clients, injured workers, and the CNESST.
  • Legislation Interpretation: Interpret and apply Quebec's workers’ compensation legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Reporting and Appeals: File injury reports, identify appeal issues, and draft objection letters.
  • Case Management: Develop, implement, and monitor return-to-work and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Medical Follow-Up: Ensure timely follow-up on medical reports and review CNESST correspondence.
  • Independent Medical Evaluations: Identify and prepare files for Independent Medical Evaluations (IME).
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing workers' compensation claims in Quebec.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and the claims management process in Quebec.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and French.
  • Education: Background in human resources, health and safety, or insurance is an asset. Significant claims management experience will also be considered.

Salary
Minimum: 55,000 CAD
Maximum: 75,000 CAD

Pay Transparency: Alight uses various factors to determine offer amounts, including candidate experience, education, certifications, market data, internal equity, and geography. Bonus and/or incentive eligibility are role- and level-dependent.
