Job summary

A local personnel service in Mont-Royal is seeking a full-time In-home caregiver to assist with the care of a newborn child. Responsibilities include sterilizing bottles, preparing formulas, planning and preparing meals, and general housework. Candidates must have a secondary school education and at least one year of caregiving experience. Salary ranges from $17 to $19 per hour and flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
• Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
• Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Help with the care of a newborn child.
• Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers.
• Organize simple games and activities to provide amusement and exercise.
• Bathe children as needed, and prepare them for naps.
• Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals. Kitchen clean-up is also required.
• General housework that will include doing laundry.
• Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.
