Full job description

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort

Tasks:

  1. Register arriving guests and assign rooms
  2. Process group arrivals and departures
  3. Take, cancel and change room reservations
  4. Provide information on hotel facilities and services
  5. Provide general information about points of interest in the area
  6. Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments
  7. Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  8. Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
  9. Follow emergency and safety procedures
  10. Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  11. Assist clients/guests with special needs
  12. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  13. Provide customer service
