The Opportunity

Barminco Mine Services Canada Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a Truck Operator to join our team underground at the Williams Mine, Hemlo Operations near Marathon, Ontario.

This position starts as a 14-shifts on / 14-days off rotation. Shifts are days and nights.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Shift Supervisor and maintain safety for yourself and co-workers while hauling and dumping ore and waste material from development and production sources.
• Operate haul trucks underground and perform related mine services as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalency
• Demonstrated commitment to working safely while ensuring the safety of others
• Underground Common Core with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a haul truck operator preferred
• Experience with CAT 30 tonne trucks; Sandvik push-trucks would be an asset
• Good radio etiquette and strong communications skills
• Ability to take initiative, be flexible and willing to assist with a variety of tasks as required
• Ability to learn new tasks quickly
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
