Salary: Up to $100,000 + bonus

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems to ensure safety and functionality using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspect components such as brakes, fuel systems, and engines, and repair or replace parts as needed.
  • Mentor apprentices and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
  • Perform vehicle repairs and/or maintenance as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and OEM standards.
  • Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production/repairs, cycle times, and customer communication.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend repairs to ensure safety and reliability before returning vehicles to customers.
  • Document all work on the repair order in a manner consistent with OEM standards and ensure warranty payments are processed by the manufacturer.
  • Maintain an inventory of common tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as a store-provided piece of equipment.
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training as required.
  • Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue.
Must-haves
  • Strong knowledge of various makes and models.
  • Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (completed or in process).
  • Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset.
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program or training courses.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High integrity and work ethic.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving history.
