Overview

Athabasca Motor Hotel Bartender Server – Jasper, Alberta

Pay: $15 per hour • Full-time

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages. Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables.
  • Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers' cheques or room billings.
  • Describe menu items including daily specials for customers; advise on menu selections; describe and advise on wine selection.
  • Serve food and beverages; greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
  • Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff.
  • Balance cash and record sales.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs; address customers' complaints or concerns; enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Proficiency with point of sale systems and basic cash handling.
  • Ability to describe menu items and wine selections; provide good customer service.
