A leading technology firm in Canada is seeking an experienced underwriting professional to evaluate financial risks and make credit decisions. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in financial services and expertise in Canadian compliance. This position offers a competitive salary between CAD 86,000 and 128,000, along with comprehensive benefits including health care and a retirement plan.

At Motive, our Risk Management team ensures the entire organization runs smoothly, scalably, and strategically. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced underwriting professional to join our Risk Management team. As an experienced underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing the financial risk of new and existing customers, while making decisions based on policy guidelines. You should have significant experience and subject matter expertise in financial services, end‑to‑end underwriting lifecycle, bank statement and financials decision, and risk assessment, as well as a strong understanding of Canadian federal and provincial regulations.
You will work as a member of our Risk Organization and collaborate with members from our sales, applied science, product management, and other stakeholders to deliver best‑in‑class customer experience. You’ll evaluate applications, perform analysis that mitigates financial risk, and make timely and accurate decisions on application outcomes.
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The compensation range for this position, depending on location, is:
Canada – $86,000 – $128,000 CAD
