We are looking for an Associate Project Specialist to join our Supply Chain team and play a key role in driving value, efficiency, and continuous improvement across our end‑to‑end operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career professional who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to meaningful supply chain projects.

In this role, you will support the planning and execution of strategic initiatives, help align best practices, and assist with standardizing processes across programs. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders at all levels, gaining hands‑on experience in project coordination, change management, and supply chain optimization.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline.
  • Previous experience in business, supply chain, or project management is an asset, but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks - typically gained through 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • An interest in supply chain operations and continuous improvement.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.

Responsibilities
Support Supply Chain Strategic Projects
  • Assist in planning, developing, and executing supply chain initiatives.
  • Contribute to the deployment and alignment of best practices across the supply chain.
  • Apply project management principles to support initiatives and project work.
  • Participate in a diverse range of projects impacting the end‑to‑end supply chain.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships to support effective project planning and execution.
  • Work closely with intermediate and senior specialists on Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Respond to stakeholder questions and incorporate feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate Change Activities
  • Support communications and tools that help stakeholders adapt to new processes, technologies, or initiatives.
  • Ensure stakeholders have the awareness, desire, knowledge, ability, and reinforcement needed to adopt change successfully.
Documentation & Process Support
  • Assist in updating supply chain policies, processes, and work instructions.
  • Help standardize documentation and processes across programs where applicable.
