Brainhunter is currently seeking “ Associate Project Manager ” to work for our valued Financial Service Client. The position requires the successful consultant to be on-site 3 days a week in Toronto.

Tools and skills

• 2+ years combination of Project Management education and experience in supporting / leading projects.
• Experience administering / supporting Clarity, JIRA / Confluence and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of project management practices, methodologies, processes, and tools.
• Expertise in reporting, data collection and analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Understanding of resource management planning and support.
• Ability to manage a high volume of activity and competing priorities.

Role profile description

Associate Project Manageris responsible for providing senior administrative project support and supporting or leading projects of low risk / complexity under the guidance of an experienced Project Manager to ensure projects are defined, planned, and delivered as outlined in the Business Case.

In this role, you will apply your foundational project management education to support and / or lead small projects under guidance, or a combination of progressive education and experience to learn project management standards, tools, processes, and practices, with the desire to operate independently on assignments.

What you will do

• Take accountability for own deliverables keeping in mind team goals and objectives.
• Provide reporting and analysis to Program and Project Managers on an as needed basis.
• Provide tool support and training for Project Managers and other resources (Clarity or other PPM, JIRA / Confluence).
• Provide support to larger or more complex projects through financial, project and performance reporting to promote effective communication and decision making.
• Portfolio Support; provide support to strategic initiative manager.
• Data entry and validation of project specific information for reporting, track project costs and ensure reconciliation in financial reporting systems.
• Contribute to knowledge base, culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Support organizational change and improvement, including supporting the implementation and adherence to changes in processes and practices.
• Ensure the effective execution of smaller projects or initiatives to deliver a product that satisfies stakeholder expectations and achieves project success criteria.
