What is the opportunity?

Within RBC Investor Services (“IS”), the Market Services unit is responsible for driving revenue and NIAT through winning client activities in the markets space including Securities Lending. The incumbent is responsible for leading a dynamic team overseeing RBC IS client operations strategies and business planning for Securities Finance. This role is primarily responsible for the support and delivery of Market Service Securities Finance daily Operations focusing on simplification, standardization.

This role will lead the team in activities ensuring optimization, industry practices and continuous improvement are achieved. Coaching, Career Development and Performance Management are key across teams. You will take a leading role in implementing processes which are scalable to drive the growth of the business, which drive outcomes through a high degree of collaboration with key business partners across Investor Services, RBC, and industry counterparts including Client Experience, Product, Data Management, Technology, Vendors and Operations delivery teams.

What will you do?

  • Lead teams of Securities Finance, staff responsible for Operational Settlements, Billing, Collateral Management and Triparty Repo.
  • Assist in activities to drive solutions and outcomes across IS end-to-end processes, challenging the status quo and enabling IS to meet key objectives
  • Enhance business process and controls to mitigate operational, market and credit risk and to protect client’s interests
  • Sponsor, drive, coordinate, prioritize initiatives, transformation and change
  • Lead initiatives that result in operational improvements to processes that are automated and create efficiencies
  • Proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies in the business
  • Develop and engage employees, performance management, setting ambitious goals with clear outcomes.
  • Continuous improvement processes, client and employee experience creating simplified, scalable, risk averse processes that grow the business.
