The McGill University Department of Surgery in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), invites applications for a Contract Academic Staff position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Research) with a focus on translational oncology, cancer cell biology, and/or biomedical engineering. The professorial rank will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications and experience. This is a Contract Academic Staff position and does not confer eligibility for tenure.
The position is offered in the Division of Thoracic Surgery within the Department of Surgery and the Cancer Research Program at the RI-MUHC, with potential co-appointments to the Goodman Cancer Institute and the Department of Biomedical Engineering. The Department of Surgery is a leader in academic medicine and supports innovative clinical programs across teaching hospitals. The successful candidate will join an academic, high-volume Division of Thoracic Surgery at the MUHC, a major teaching hospital affiliated with McGill University, located in Montreal, Quebec.
