Position Summary

The BROWNS Assistant Manager position has large growth opportunities and the potential to challenge your leadership values and commitment to quality. As an Assistant Manager you play a key role in ensuring our team delivers outstanding service and crafted memorable experiences for our guests while curating a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day-to-day leadership and management of a casual-fine dining restaurant.
  • Have a strong understanding of our menu and house created dishes.
  • Prepare and/or support our standard of quality show and represented in our Beverage and Culinary programs.
  • Provide genuine guest engagement while qualifying guests wants and needs.
  • Closing and securing the restaurant after end of day operations.
  • Co-ordinate and conduct pre-shift meetings and maintain daily communication for Food, Wine and Beverage details as they relate to service.
  • Develop and maintain staff's product knowledge through ongoing training with the utilization of seminars and tastings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant area.
  • Efficiently use our waitlist programs with our support team on busier services and events.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol service regulations.
  • Culture a positive work environment recognizing staff achievements and accomplishments.
Qualifications
  • 1 year of Management experience in the restaurant industry.
  • 1 year Serving/Bartending experience in casual fine dining (Will train the right candidates).
  • Flexible availability; Days, Nights, & Weekends.
  • Strong computer and office administration skills.
  • An upbeat and positive attitude, and a want to engage and meet new people.
  • A passion for food, beverage and all things related to the restaurant business.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • A team player mentality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
