A Canadian sports organization located in Toronto is seeking an Accounts Payable intern for a four-month term. The role involves processing expense reports, data entry, and maintaining financial records. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, pay attention to detail, and be working towards a post-secondary education in Accounting. This position is paid and offers the opportunity to assist at various events, contributing to the growth of basketball in Canada.
Canada Basketball is the national sport governing body for amateur basketball in Canada. Located in Toronto, Canada Basketball is a not-for-profit organization with the Mission: “We aspire to excellence in leading the growth and development of the game at home, and in pursuing medal performances on the international stage” and Vision: “Recognized as a world leader in all aspects of basketball, and consistently reaching the podium in FIBA competitions and the Olympic Games.”
Length and Term: The position will run from May to August 2026 (4-month term)

These are paid positions earning $17.60/hr. for approx 37.5hrs per week (hours dependent on program & position).

This role will focus on accounts payable related tasks such as expense reports, data entry, maintenance of financial records, and various administrative tasks in support of office maintenance and Canada Basketball events. The successful applicant should love working with numbers, have a strong desire to learn, and a special interest in working with others in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the ideal candidate is expected to possess excellent organizational and attention‑to‑detail skills combined with proven time‑management skills.
