We are an established residential, design/build remodeling company with a reputation for high quality design and construction. Our Production Department is growing, and we need another Construction Manager to help us expand our construction of premium residential projects. This is a great opportunity for a person that's looking to change from hands on construction to a management position.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years experience in general carpentry and thorough knowledge of residential construction practices, including framing, finish, roofing, and siding. Do not apply if your only experience is in a classroom.
• Experience reading and interpreting detailed structural drawings
• Knowledge of the Residential Building Code
• Experience supervising carpenters and subcontractors
• A Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License is a plus, but unnecessary
• Good interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with employees, clients, and managers at different levels
• Good computer skills using MS Excel, Word, email and internet software
• Experience with CAD software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of our General Manager: Oversee construction projects including the following
• Check on carpentry, ensure projects are being built to our standards and to the Bldg Code
• Schedule Building inspections
• Meet with customers and Bldg Inspectors to review requirements, and confirm their satisfaction
• Coordinate with other subcontractors
• Draft material Take-offs and obtain quotes
• Direct Construction Assistant(s)
• Learn to update CAD drawings
• Email clients with the status of their project
