Overview
As an Art Director at Greenhouse, you are the steward of our brand’s visual language and storytelling. You’ll work with the Founders and marketing team colleagues to shape and implement a cohesive visual identity across all touchpoints, from product packaging and digital campaigns to in-store visuals and experiential activations. Your role ensures our brand remains vibrant, authentic, and aligned with our mission to offer widespread, sustainable access to plant-based nutrition and wellness of the highest quality.
In a fast-paced, scale-up environment, you will manage multiple projects, partner with external agencies, and leverage innovative tools to continuously evolve our visual branding and customer experience.

Statement of Work & Responsibilities
Visual Strategy & Brand Governance
- Develop, execute, and continuously refine the brand visual strategy to align with Greenhouse’s growth and sustainability goals.
- Maintain and update the brand book, templates, visual standards, and style guides to ensure consistency across all platforms.
- Lead the development of visual assets for campaigns, product launches, and retail corporate initiatives.
Creative Development & Asset Production
- Create and oversee the production of a wide range of digital, print and other physical assets, including product packaging, promotional materials, in-store visuals, social media content, and website graphics.
- Conceptualize innovative packaging solutions that balance sustainability commitments with cost considerations.
- Solicit and oversee product and innovation photography, ensuring high-quality visuals that support branding and marketing objectives.
- Lead creative development using AI tools, integrating cutting-edge technology to enhance design processes for both quality and efficiency.
- Always keep the commercial success of products and the business at the heart of every creative decision.
- Partner with external agencies and freelancers on campaign conceptualization and execution, providing clear feedback and quality control.
- Manage and maintain good relationships with printers and vendors to ensure high-quality, sustainable production standards.
Creative Innovation & Trend Monitoring
- Stay at the forefront of design trends and emerging technologies, applying innovative ideas to keep Greenhouse’s visual presence fresh and relevant.
- Develop concepts for packaging and branding that highlight sustainability, innovation, and brand evolution.
- Establish visual standards for the Corporate Store experience, ensuring a consistent and immersive look and feel that reflects our brand values.
Operational Leadership & Quality Control
- Oversee quality assurance for all visual materials, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards.
- Provide direction to creative freelancers and internal teams, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovative thinking.
- Drive continuous improvement by refining creative workflows, templates, and processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Years of Experience: Minimum of +7 years of professional design experience, with a robust portfolio showcasing a wide range of digital and print media.
- Software Proficiency: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) with knowledge of motion graphics, animation, and UI / UX tools as an asset.
- Print Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing printing partnerships and an in-depth understanding of production processes and print techniques.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage external agencies and internal resources, ensuring the seamless execution of creative projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and defend design concepts.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to guide design execution aligned with business objectives.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to creative challenges.
- Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented, with strong time management and organizational skills.
