Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. As an Area Manager II, you will lead a team of hourly associates, engaging and motivating them to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance.

In this role, you will play a key part in meeting customer expectations by ensuring orders are delivered on time and to the right place. You will oversee all three workflow components—first mile, middle mile, and last mile—upholding our unwavering customer obsession in a dynamic fulfillment environment.

About the role: Area Manager II

As an Area Manager II, you will support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve safety and quality targets. You will manage productivity and delivery promises, collaborating with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR teams to develop plans that meet business objectives.

You will work in a physically demanding environment—lifting up to 49 pounds, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and standing or walking for up to 12 hours. You will navigate variable temperatures, noise levels, and building layouts, ensuring your team operates efficiently and safely.

Requirements / Skills

Core Leadership & Operations Expertise: 2+ years of employee and performance management experience; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience. Must work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays, adapting to changing shift requirements.

Process Improvement & Physical Readiness: Preferred 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques. Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and stand/walk up to 12 hours in variable, noisy, and temperature-changing environments.
