MATRIX is seeking candidates for the following positions who have previous experience with Arctic ice road operations and familiar with sea ice, land and lake crossings for the construction and maintenance of a northern winter ice road project in Nunavut. This is a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off or 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational position with fully remote camp accommodations.

Key qualifications and requirements
  • Minimum: Proven Arctic ice-road experience over sea ice, land and lake crossings, including demonstrated success navigating seasonal routes and associated hazards
  • Must provide all current training certifications and sign-offs relevant to your role
  • Ability to work in remote northern conditions and live in remote camp environments
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to risk management
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (including nights) and be away from home for extended periods
  • Pre‑employment clearance requirements may apply, including medical, criminal background checks, and drug & alcohol testing
Preferred licensing & certifications
  • 3–5 years of Arctic ice-road experience
  • Prior experience working in a remote camp setting
