The studio works across a diverse mix of multifamily mid rise residential, wood frame townhome communities, single family custom homes, civic and community spaces and small to medium scale commercial developments. About the Role

Our client is seeking a technically strong architectural professional with hands on construction administration experience. This role focuses on CA support for a range of residential and commercial projects including multifamily mid rise buildings, townhome communities, single family homes and small scale commercial sites. You will serve as a key technical resource and primary coordination point between the studio and construction teams.

The ideal candidate brings experience resolving issues on site, confidence working with contractors and consultants and strong knowledge of BCBC and municipal requirements. You will support documentation and detailing, attend regular site visits, manage RFIs and SIs and help ensure consistency from permit through occupancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support construction administration across multiple active projects with clear, timely communication
  • Conduct site reviews and prepare concise reports that track progress and required actions
  • Respond to RFIs and issue site instructions that address contractor needs while protecting design intent
  • Review shop drawings, submittals and mockups for envelope, structural and interior systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams and consultants to resolve issues affecting timelines or constructability
  • Support architectural drawings and assist with permit and construction document packages as required
  • Attend site meetings, client meetings and consultant coordination sessions with a solutions oriented approach
  • Apply strong understanding of BCBC, VBBL and municipal requirements throughout design and construction
  • Maintain proactive communication across clients, contractors and internal project teams

Qualifications

  • Architectural Technology diploma or Bachelors or Masters of Architecture
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in construction administration or on site project coordination
  • Experience with multifamily mid rise, wood frame townhomes, single family homes or small commercial projects
  • Strong technical understanding of residential & commercial construction and local building codes
  • Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD and ability to review detailed documentation
  • Confident communicator with strong coordination and problem solving abilities
  • Organized, reliable and proactive with a collaborative approach to project delivery
