Job summary

A global defense company in Winnipeg is seeking a Crew Chief to lead a team of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and Apprentices. You will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing aircraft, ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a valid M1 and/or M2 AME license and experience with specialized aircraft. This position offers a competitive salary between $68,806 to $114,709, along with comprehensive health, wellness, and development programs.

Qualifications

  • Supervise Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) and Apprentices.
  • Maintain, adjust, modify, test, diagnose, and repair an aircraft’s mechanical or structural systems.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks and keep accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team working on CL Water Bomber Aircraft and Commander 690 Aircraft.
  • Work efficiently alone and as part of a team.
  • Understand and adhere to safety policies.

Skills

Experience with CL-215/CL-415 aircraft
Experience with Garrett Turbine powered aircraft
Good organizational skills
Proficient in English, written and spoken
Physical ability to perform tasks

Education

Valid M1 and/or M2 AME license
Canadian passport eligibility

Tools

WinAir or similar maintenance programs
Specialized aviation and power tools
