Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Finance and Administration Director (DAF), the agent.e comptable will ensure the recording and monitoring of project-linked transactions in Canada and expenses of the headquarters. In collaboration with the Financial Data Coordinator, contribute to the accuracy and reliability of basic accounting records.

  • Accounting scope
  • Record all financial transactions in real time for projects Canada and the headquarters (invoices, expense notes, advances, payments) in Microsoft GP Dynamics
  • Record period-end general entries
  • Obtain all supporting documents for project and HQ expense tracking
  • Ensure supporting documents and entries are recorded in a timely manner in the accounting system
  • Perform bank reconciliations and credit card accounts related to the HQ
  • Classify and archive HQ supporting documents in accordance with procedures
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and administrative procedures
  • Audit support: assist with audits of the HQ or Canada projects
  • Aid senior management in planning review missions
  • Contribute to documenting procedures to develop training materials
  • Support the Finance Department in administrative office management
What you will need
  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of professional experience in similar roles
  • Mastery of Excel (macros, pivot tables)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft GP Dynamics
  • Strong sense of responsibility, analytical capacity, initiative, ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Rigour, method, and capacity to handle large data volumes
  • Excellent written and spoken French
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment
  • Must have status to work in Canada
  • Assets: experience in international development or similar sector
  • Knowledge of English and / or Spanish
