Qualifications

  • Standard First Aid with CPR Level C certification required.
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check must be provided.
  • Proof of up-to-date immunizations (TB, Tetanus, MMR) required.

We operate full-day early learning and childcare centres for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, along with before and after school extended‑day programs for kindergarten and school‑aged children at over 27 locations across the Greater Hamilton Area.

Location: Rosedale Centre; 25 Erindale Ave, Hamilton, ONL8K 4R2
Total Weekly Hours: 20.25 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:15 pm – 6:00 pm
Pay Rate (per Collective Agreement, includes wage grants):

  • RECE: $28.46 per hour
  • Non‑RECE: $25.91 per hour

Who We’re Looking For
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1‑year experience working directly with children or in a childcare setting.
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent (e.g., Child & Youth Worker, Child and Youth Care, OCT, Recreation & Leisure diploma).
Certifications
  • Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  • Proof of up‑to‑date immunizations (TB, Tetanus, MMR)
Skills & Knowledge
  • Familiarity with How Does Learning Happen? (an asset)
  • Strong understanding of child development and age‑appropriate activities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
