A global diamond company is seeking an Advisor for Environment – Projects and Closure Planning. This role involves leading reclamation efforts, managing technical consultants, and ensuring regulatory compliance at the Ekati Diamond Mine. Ideal candidates will possess a B.Sc. or B.Eng. and five years of relevant experience, preferably in the mining sector. Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Communities and working Monday to Friday in Calgary, AB, or Yellowknife, NT, the Advisor, Environment – Projects and Closure Planning is responsible for leading the reclamation and closure, securities, and mine life‑cycle environmental planning at the Ekati Diamond Mine. Duties include managing technical work and giving regulatory, permitting, and technical advice. Regular travel to the Ekati mine site, Yellowknife, Indigenous communities, and general travel as business needs indicate will be an ongoing requirement.
