Job description

Student Works and Pro Works Painting is looking for an Administrative Assistant/Office Assistant to join our team in our North Vancouver office (Dollarton Hwy) for the summer, until the end of August with the possibility of extension. This person will work to support the daily operations of the office.

The ideal candidate is a high-energy individual with excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service via phone and email
  • Work in a fast paced work environment with youthful energy
  • Must be outgoing, self-motivated with excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude
  • First point of contact for client inquiries and incoming calls
  • Assist with inventory, filing and processing payroll
  • Data entry
  • Must be focused with an attention to detail and accuracy
  • Help plan corporate and franchisee events

Requirements

  • Must have experience with Excel and the MAC OS platform
  • Professional, courteous phone manners and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and achieve deadlines under pressure with little supervision
  • Experience working as an office assistant or in an office environment is preferred but not necessary
  • Additional consideration will be given to those with minimum 3 years of retail work experience
