A local government in Canada seeks an Accounting Clerk III to manage bank reconciliation, process invoices, and support cemetery operations. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in Accounting and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Compensation ranges from $36.20 to $40.23 per hour, with full-time benefits and a supportive work environment.

The City of Penticton's Finance department is in search of a highly motivated and energetic individual for the position of Accounting Clerk III. This position's primary focus will be the accounting duties associated with bank account monitoring as well as operating as the Cemetery Clerk at the City of Penticton.
Reporting to the Manager of Finance, this position is responsible for acquiring and processing invoices under established policies and procedures, assisting in the reconciliation of accounts, communicating with various vendors and customers, as well as delivering information to the public. This includes weekly payment processing, completion of bank reconciliations, preparing various analyses of accounts or expenditures, and responding to internal/external queries in a courteous and professional manner. This position is also responsible for providing administrative support related to cemetery operations, including recordkeeping, customer service and coordination of burial services. This role ensures accurate documentation and compassionate service to families and funeral providers.
