This role will be within our flagship platform, Canada’s #1 automotive marketplace, attracting over 25 million visits each month.
This position has responsibility for promoting Trader Corporation’s Commercial and Recreational Marketplace solutions to clients within designated assignments by identifying, cultivating and developing high revenue accounts by using prospecting and consultative sales techniques. The District Manager will work with high revenue customers where superior sales, marketing and presentation skills are required to meet the needs of the customers.
Responsibilities
- Sales / Customer Service: Cultivate and develop customer accounts by proactively gathering and reviewing information to identify high-level sales opportunities. Focus on achieving customer satisfaction, revenue generation within existing assignments, and long-term account goals in line with Trader’s vision. Prepare business presentations and corporate profiles; design and implement sales strategies. Conduct needs assessments and design proposals to address the customer’s specific needs to maximize business potential. Discuss Commercial and Recreational marketplace needs with customers; understand and promote Trader products and services relevant to each customer’s business objectives. Sell with a value focus; demonstrate ongoing concern for the customer and the value of Trader. Manage all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue; respond to client needs with urgency. Maintain knowledge of Trader product offerings, market trends and competition.
- Territory / Account Management: Complete a weekly sales planner to ensure territory coverage and revenue maintenance. Proactively contact new and existing accounts. Initiate post-sales activities to ensure solutions continue to satisfy the customer’s needs. Monitor competitive products and client reactions to inform Trader’s market strategy. Spend the majority of time out of the office with clients and travel between accounts. Meet sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Administration: Maintain accurate customer records for territory organization. Prepare status reports including activity, closings, follow-up, KPI’s and adherence to goals/targets. Present and negotiate rates with clients; prepare and sign contracts. Ensure documentation and reports are complete, accurate and submitted to other departments within required timelines.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts / Marketing / Business (Required)
- Minimum 5-8 years direct sales experience with national / large revenue accounts (Required)
- Proven results in achieving or exceeding sales targets (Required)
- Experience in intangible, media, and internet product sales (Preferred)
- Bilingual (French & English) (Required)
- English language knowledge required for communications with Ontario managers and English-speaking clients
