Job description

As a key member of GFL’s Business Development team, the Account Manager - Liquid Waste will be committed to enhancing our client relationships and growing our market share. You will be relied upon to source new business with prospective and existing clients and will instill confidence in our customers that they are dealing with the industry leader. You will focus on primarily growing our customer base within our lines of service.

Job Duties:

  1. Seek out business development with new and existing clients.
  2. Analyze customer needs and present solutions utilizing a thorough understanding of our diverse service offerings.
  3. Always represent the company in a professional manner to ensure every opportunity is taken to promote the brand.
  4. Ensure exemplary customer satisfaction and act as a liaison between customer and operational staff.
  5. Provide market intelligence regarding competitors and pricing strategies.
  6. Formulate business plans and strategies to meet business development targets.
  7. Must be willing to travel as required, with a 70/30 travel-to-office split.

Requirements:

  1. Proven business development experience in a competitive, demanding business sector.
  2. Waste management industry experience an asset, specifically to larger complex industrial sites requiring multiple industry services.
  3. Passion for business excellence with exceptional follow through.
  4. Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
  5. Experience in Industrial Services, Shutdown, Turnaround and related experience will be an asset but not mandatory.
