Job description
About Us Quality Allied Elevator

First founded in 1988, and with offices located in Markham, Quality Allied Elevator (QAE) is the largest independently owned and operated elevator company servicing the Greater Toronto Area market. We currently service over 2500 commercial elevators in a wide variety of building types around the GTA. These include, but are not limited to, apartments, condominiums, offices, hotels, hospitals, long term care homes, retail, and industrial sites. Some of our customers include the CBC, Realstar Management Partners, Homestead Land Holdings, Colliers International, GWLRA, Durham College and many others.

As the largest independent elevator service company, we directly employ more than 100 individuals including over 65 licensed field employees, who complete an array of elevator work including preventative maintenance, repair, as well as complete modernization. As an independently owned and operated elevator company, QAE does not manufacture elevators (or elevator components). This means we must be able to maintain and repair all makes and models of elevators and have a wide range of technical expertise.

Position Overview

In this customer-focused sales role, you will manage a defined territory, nurture long-term client relationships, and generate new business opportunities across the GTA. This is a hybrid new business + account growth—equally focused on expanding our client base, renewing and growing existing accounts, and advocating for customers internally. You’ll spend significant time in the field conducting site visits, needs assessments, and presenting solutions that support safety, reliability, and long-term partnerships. As part of a collaborative team of three and reporting directly to senior leadership, this is a high-impact, well-compensated role with strong earning potential.

What you will do
  • Represent Quality Allied Elevator when working with our existing clients, new potential clients and consultants
  • Be a leader; set the tone for expectations regarding best-in-class communication
  • Develop new relationships through office and field visits
  • Develop and maintain customer relations and key accounts.
  • Estimate, quote, and close modernizations, contract repairs, and new maintenance.
  • Proactively re-sign existing maintenance customers to new contracts when the existing contract needs renewal.
  • Develop agreements for corporate accounts and complete checklists for new corporate accounts.
  • Review customer accounts monthly through accounts receivable, resolve identified issues, and assist with collections.
  • Interact with vendors and obtain quotes for custom equipment
  • Identify continuous opportunities for growth and improvement in existing accounts.
  • Mentor, instruct, and guide on assigned and newly identified accounts within the geographic territory and key accounts.
  • Provide current service and resolve problems within the geographic territory of the customer base and key accounts.
  • Review service call reports for assigned sites and develop sales action plans to reduce callbacks and improve reliability.
  • Advocate for assigned customers inside Quality Allied Elevator—be the voice of the customer.
  • Exercise balanced judgment when developing action plans for customers.
  • Balance customer needs with the needs and goals of Quality Allied Elevator.
  • Drive solutions that are profitable for Quality Allied Elevator—make your portfolio profitable.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and solve problems for your customers.
