A community-based non-profit organization is seeking a Supported Child Development ASL Interpreter in Parksville. The role involves facilitating communication for children in childcare settings and requires fluency in ASL and membership in CASLI. Candidates with experience working with young children are preferred. This position is on a casual/on-call basis with a pay range of $38.68 - $47.20 per hour.

We are looking for a Supported Child Development (SCD) American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to join our child development team! This individual must be fluent in ASL and a member of the Canadian Association of Sign Language Interpreters (CASLI).

The Supported Child Development ASL Interpreter is a member of the Child Development Services team, providing integrated, multidisciplinary, family centered developmental services and supports to the children in childcare settings.
The SCD/ASL Assistant provides interpretation between ASL and spoken English for deaf children and children with hearing loss and supports the inclusion of children with support needs within licensed childcare settings.
