Job summary

A public health organization in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, seeks a dedicated nursing professional to work on Family Health programs. Responsibilities include collaborating with community partners, and implementing public health initiatives. The ideal candidate must have a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Qualifications

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Experience with population health promotion is an asset.

Job description

Terms: Contract Full Time: August 2025, to January 29, 2027

The successful candidate will work with a focus in Family Health programs including Healthy Babies Healthy Children, Child and Reproductive Health and supporting various programs including Sexual Health, Harm Reduction, Vaccine Preventable Diseases and Control of Infectious Diseases. Working within a team to provide services and collaborating with community members and within community partners for planning, implementing, and evaluating Public Health programs within Fort Frances and surrounding communities.

Qualifications:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing, or eligible to register within the province
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, BScN
  • Current cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certification
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of, and/or experience with, principles of adult and child education, social determinants of health, and population health promotion an asset
  • Certification in Infection Control would be an asset
Salary:

$40.18 – $56.79 per hour, in accordance with the Ontario Nurses’ Association Contract (ONA).
