Overview

18-month Limited Term Lecturer in Personal Financial Management (PFin). Applications are invited for a full-time 18-month limited term position at the rank of Lecturer or Instructor with the Department of Finance & Management Science, Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan, located in Saskatoon, Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering both introductory and advanced finance courses, engaging with faculty, students, and community partners, and contributing to collaborative initiatives within the instructor team. The teaching load for the position is nine (9) courses per year (typically 4-4-1). The anticipated start date is January 1, 2026.

Qualifications
  • A relevant graduate degree is required for the lecturer rank; a relevant undergraduate degree and professional designation is required for the instructor rank.
  • Teaching experience with demonstrated effective classroom teaching and student mentorship skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • For the lecturer rank, an advanced graduate degree (i.e., PhD) with current and relevant research activity, or substantial and relevant professional work experience, in line with AACSB accreditation qualification standards.
Position Details
  • Salary information for 2025-2026: Lecturer: $92,639 to $135,479; Instructor: $74,789 to $117,629.
  • This position includes a comprehensive benefits package: dental, health and extended vision care; pension plan; life insurance (compulsory and voluntary); sick leave; travel insurance; death benefits; an employee assistance program; a professional expense allowance; and a flexible health and wellness spending program.
  • Anticipated start date: January 1, 2026.
