A global fintech leader in São Paulo seeks a Technical Compliance Officer to ensure regulatory adherence in Brazil. You will serve as the contact point with local authorities, oversee compliance in projects, and collaborate with international teams. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp on Brazilian financial regulations, fluent Portuguese and English, and relevant educational qualifications. Join our innovative global fintech leader in cross-border payments, serving enterprises across the globe. As we grow our presence in Brazil, we’re looking for an experienced Technical Compliance Officer to spearhead regulatory adherence for our local operations. You’ll ensure alignment with key Brazilian frameworks like financial regulations, LGPD data privacy, AML / KYC protocols, and payment systems, acting as the key bridge to regulators such as Banco Central do Brasil, Receita Federal, and ANPD. Partner with our international compliance and engineering groups to integrate robust controls into product builds, audits, and daily processes.
Serve as the main technical point of contact with Brazilian authorities (e.g., BCB, CVM, ANPD, Receita Federal), handling discussions on system design, data handling, contingency plans, logging, and compliance tech implementations.
Review Brazil-specific projects and requirements, delivering expert oversight to confirm products, architectures, and workflows meet local rules on finance, payments (e.g., PIX, BCB Resolutions), and data protection (LGPD).
Work hand‑in‑hand with worldwide Compliance, Legal, Product, and Engineering teams to convert regulations into practical tech specs and safeguards.
Assist with audits (SOX, PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001), regulatory submissions, and reporting.
Track evolving Brazilian regulations, evaluate effects on operations and tech stacks, and recommend proactive solutions.
Standardize documentation of compliance tech elements for better efficiency and readiness.
Deliver training and advice to local teams, building a proactive compliance mindset.
Languages : Native Portuguese (spoken / written); fluent English for international teamwork.
Regulatory Expertise : Strong grasp of Brazil’s financial ecosystem, including BCB payment systems (PIX, SPB), AML / CFT, and LGPD.
Technical Skills : Knowledge of payment tech stacks (API‑driven, microservices, cloud); comfort discussing data flows, encryption, and logging with engineers.
Practical Experience : Proven track record with Brazilian regulators, license submissions, or inspections.
Education : Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Law, Finance, IT, Risk Management, or equivalent.
Certifications like CISSP, CAMS, CRCM, or comparable.
Background in fintech, payments, or banking compliance.
Awareness of global standards (FATF, GDPR, PCI‑DSS) adapted locally.
Experience in diverse, cross‑border teams.
