About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Windows Architect / Azure Infrastructure Architect with deep expertise in Azure IaaS / PaaS, Windows infrastructure, and large-scale cloud migrations. This role is responsible for leading complex Azure solutioning initiatives, designing target architectures, and guiding infrastructure teams through on-premises to Azure transformations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership, hands-on architecture experience, and the ability to engage with stakeholders across business and IT functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Azure & Cloud Architecture
- Lead Azure infrastructure assessments and migrations using Azure Migrate.
- Drive end-to-end Azure solutioning for large and complex migration programs.
- Design and implement Azure Landing Zones, ensuring alignment with security, networking, and governance standards.
- Define Azure target-state architectures, including HLDs, LLDs, BoM, licensing, and pricing details.
- Provide architecture covering business, application, infrastructure, security, and cost optimization aspects.
- Ensure solutions meet TCO and ROI objectives.
- Windows & Infrastructure Expertise
- Architect, manage, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (compute, memory, I/O, networking, clusters).
- Lead server consolidation initiatives, including Windows clustering.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Windows File & Print Services
- DNS, DHCP, WINS administration
- DFS configuration and management
- Windows Server upgrades and migrations
- Backup and restoration (OS and data)
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Azure and on-prem Windows environments.
Leadership & Governance
- Lead and technically govern infrastructure teams of 5+ members.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, and project managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Identify risks and implement robust risk mitigation strategies.
- Participate in post-project reviews, capturing lessons learned and driving continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
- 13+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure Infrastructure (IaaS / PaaS).
- Strong experience across Azure Networking, Azure IAM, Azure Key Vault, Storage, Security, SIAM, and DC environments.
- Proven experience migrating on-prem workloads to Azure.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as Banking, Healthcare, or Insurance.
- Ability to work in 24×7 support environments and flexible shifts.
Secondary / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Design of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC / DR) solutions.
- Exposure to identity, governance, and monitoring solutions in Azure.
- Experience in multi-domain enterprise environments.
Certifications (Preferred)
- AZ-305 – Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
- AZ-104 – Microsoft Azure Administrator
