A leader in sustainability is seeking a Technical Coordinator in Brazil. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and experience in biofuels. Responsibilities include managing client requests and conducting greenhouse gas reviews within certification programs. This is a remote position that demands excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently, supporting various sustainability initiatives in a growing field. Salary is estimated between 5,000 - 8,500 BRL monthly.
SCS Global Services is a pioneer and leader in the field of sustainability standards and third‑party certification, working across the economy in the natural resources, built environment, food and agriculture, consumer products, and climate sectors for over 40 years. As a Benefit Corporation, we are committed to socially and environmentally responsible business practices, and through the application of sound science, we are driving positive change.
Over the past two years, there has been tremendous growth in the Renewable Fuels and Circular Economy industries. Growth in biofuels and the Circular Economy has been accompanied by increased interest in certification programs designed for this industry to meet growing demand, including: ISCC EU, ISCC PLUS, RSB EU RED, RSB Advanced Products, and other similar certification initiatives.
SCS has developed standardized protocols for evaluating the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions calculations provided by companies conducting a Life Cycle Assessment of the Carbon Intensity of their biofuels and bio‑based products. As the program grows, there is increasing demand for Life Cycle Assessment of biofuels and bio‑based products, both to develop the relevant methodologies, as well as to verify the calculations provided to SCS auditors.
The Technical Coordinator, EBC Brazil position requires a background in a technical field (i.e., science, technology, engineering, mathematics, etc.), ideally with some knowledge of biofuel production, including biodiesel, HVO/Renewable Diesel, and ethanol, as well as a passion to work on environmental sustainability issues. This position also requires excellent organization, self‑motivation, and the ability to work independently. The Technical Coordinator supports existing ISCC and RSB certification teams, primarily conducting remote GHG reviews for these and other forthcoming programs, and providing client and operational support.
The above description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Additional duties outside of normal responsibilities may be required from time to time as assigned.
At this time, SCS Global Services is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This role will be based out of your home office.
