A global automotive company in São Paulo is seeking a Senior IC to oversee technical accounting operations. The ideal candidate will manage complex transactions according to US GAAP, work cross-functionally, and lead process modernization. A bachelor's degree in Accounting and experience in accounting or auditing is required, along with intermediate English skills. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence three times a week.

  • English from intermediate level (Advanced or Fluent English will be a significant plus).

  • Facilitate implementation of global accounting policies updates.

Job Description

Hybrid

This position requires you to work on-site 3 times a week (Tue to Thu)

What Youll Do (Responsibilities)
  • Oversee the preparation and review of technical accounting memos for complex significant and non-standard transactions according to US GAAP and applicable local statutory standards (IFRS).
  • Work cross-functionally with business functional teams including Controllership Finance and corporate business partners (FP&A Tax Treasury GPSC Legal) in analyzing transactions determining accounting treatment and the proper financial reporting based on GMs Chart of Accounts (CoA).
  • Lead the modernization of current processes by working closely with regional Controllership teams providing insights and technical accounting guidance while ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
  • Facilitate and influence the implementation of global accounting policies updates by reviewing communicating and proposing critical changes to be incorporated into the Corporate Circular Letters (CCL) collaborating closely with regional Controllership.
  • Effectively communicate technical accounting analysis to regional leaders and key partners.
  • Collaborate on training for regional Controllership teams related to new or change accounting policies.
  • Act as a coach to team members providing guidance support and constructive feedback to foster professional growth enhance performance and promote a collaborative team culture.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelor degree completed in Accounting
  • English from intermediate level (Advanced or Fluent English will be a significant plus)
  • Experience in accounting or auditing
