Job Title : Tech Service & Formulation Expert Pet Food

We are looking for Tech Service & Formulation Expert PET Food for Latin America.

He will be responsible for the development, customization, and management of vitamin and mineral premix formulations for the pet food industry.

This role ensures that all premix solutions are nutritionally sound, economically viable, and fully compliant with local regulatory frameworks.

Additionally, the role provides technical support to internal teams and external clients, covering aspects of nutritional premixes and other innovative ingredients of the portfolio assuring regulatory alignment, quality assurance, and nutritional consultation.

The position is key in driving product innovation, supporting commercial strategies, and delivering customer-centric solutions within the region.

Your key responsibilities

• Premix Formulation & Customization Design and adjust premix formulations tailored to customer requirements.
• Translate customer and market demands into technically and economically optimized premix solutions.
• Support the transfer and adaptation of premix formulations between production plants.
• Review and validate customer formulas, ensuring alignment with nutritional targets and ingredient availability.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Collaborate closely with regulatory teams to ensure that all premixes meet the legal requirements of each LATAM country.
• Support product registration processes and maintain up-to-date documentation (e.g., labels, SDS, ingredient risk assessments).
• Evaluate and approve new ingredients and sources in coordination with regulatory and quality departments.

Technical Support & Customer Interaction

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for clients, providing guidance on dsm-firmenich portfolio for the Pet Food business.
• Support account managers during customer meetings, new product developments, and technical discussions.
• Visit customer facilities to provide hands-on support for production processes (e.g., extrusion, coating, mixing, drying) and recommend technical improvements.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with production, purchasing, regulatory, quality, and commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of premix projects.
• Support internal and external training programs related to premixes, vitamins, and formulation systems.
• Assist with sample preparation, competitive analysis, and troubleshooting product-related issues.

You Bring

• Education: University degree.
• Previous work experience in co-related positions.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous knowledge in micronutrient formulation, preferably in Pet Food (experience in Animal or Human Nutrition may also be considered).
• Experience in customer interface and technical issue resolution is a plus.
