Overview

Speechify’s mission is to make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning. Speechify’s text-to-speech products turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio to help people read faster, read more, and remember more. Our products include an iOS app, Android app, Mac app, Chrome extension, and Web app. Speechify has been recognized by Google as Chrome Extension of the Year and by Apple as App of the Day.

Today, nearly 200 people work globally in a 100% distributed setting—Speechify has no office. Team members come from leading technology companies and academia, contributing across frontend and backend engineering, AI research, and other areas.

This is a key role for someone who thinks strategically, enjoys fast-paced environments, is passionate about making product decisions, and has experience building great user experiences that delight users. We are a flat organization that values leadership shown through strong technical skills and consistent, fast results.

Our interview process involves several technical interviews and we aim to complete them within 1 week.

What You’ll Do

• Actively ship production code to the web products
• Work closely with your dedicated product team
• Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
• Have the opportunity to work on new and exciting features that will impact millions of lives

• Collaboration: you can inspire, collaborate with, and negotiate with designers, marketers, and PMs
• Tech Stack: Vanilla JS, ReactJS, Redux, Firebase, TypeScript
