About This Opportunity

InComm maintains a customized on-premise voice application system that handles approximately 2 million customer phone calls per week. You would be an integral part of building new voice applications and IVRs that our customers use every day. This is a learning-focused role. We don’t expect you to have experience with every technology we use, nor prior experience building voice applications. What we do expect is a strong ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and collaborate effectively.

This position is CLT and Fully Remote in Brazil. Benefits include health and dental insurance, meal and restaurant vouchers, fixed monthly stipend for internet and mobile expenses, InComm hardware/software, and annual bonuses! Professional English language communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

Voice App Development

• Work with US-based product and business teams to understand requirements and diagram customer experiences with flow charts
• Create, test, deploy, and maintain IVRs and voice apps using Asterisk, Java, Azure Speech Services, Jenkins, and other software systems.
• Read API documentation and integrate the voice apps with new APIs
• Work with an existing SQL database to do CRUD operations
• Work within the team to support testing and defect resolution

Monitoring/Reporting

• Assist in monitoring the production system by utilizing existing monitoring tools
• Create and run Splunk queries to identify and troubleshooting issues
• Write SQL SELECT queries to retrieve data needed for reports

Systems Admin and Support

• Assist with Linux server and software patching and reboots, SSL certificate management/renewals, server health/performance monitoring and alerting, etc.
• You will occasionally (approximately once every 2 months) be asked to monitor our production systems overnight while InComm infrastructure or network teams perform changes
• You will participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 support coverage. You would be on-call approximately 1 week every 5 weeks. Although after-hours escalations are rare, you would be expected to provide a phone number that you could be contacted on at any time of the day/night in the event of a production-impacting issue

Qualifications

• Able to deploy, configure, maintain, integrate, and improve upon various software solutions on Linux servers
• Programming/coding/software development experience
• OOP Java development experience preferred but not required
• Basic SQL operations, and ability to read and understand existing stored procedures
• Familiarity with HTTP web services and API integration
• Working knowledge of regular expressions
• Strong problem-solving skills (log analysis, Wireshark analysis, etc.)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a globally distributed team
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving responsibilities
• Professional level English language skills are required
