Join Alcoa’s Operational Risk Management (ORM) team and play a critical role in advancing our global risk management maturity. As a Senior Risk Analyst, you’ll lead the modernization of risk analytics and integrate risk insights into decision‑making processes that shape the future of our operations worldwide.
This is an opportunity to predict problems before they occur, influence strategic decisions, and tell the “risk story” at a global level. You’ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders across Operations, EHS, Sustainability, Finance, Legal, and more—impacting facilities and joint ventures across the globe.
Design and oversee risk data modeling, exposure trending, and performance reporting using modern technology and automation.
Analyze operational risk trends, identify improvement opportunities, and develop leading / lagging risk performance metrics.
Embed risk information into planning, budgeting, and geospatial systems to influence business decision.
Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to standardize processes and share best practices.
Stay ahead of industry trends and deploy advanced analytics, including AI and machine learning, to enhance risk management.
5–10 years in operational risk management within multi‑national corporations operating in asset‑intensive industries.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Mathematics / Statistics, Data Analytics / Information Systems, or a related analytical field of study.
Advanced data analytics and modeling expertise; experience with AI / ML in risk contexts is a plus.
Ability to navigate and administer complex risk data systems.
Ability to successfully collaborate cross‑functionally with departments such as Asset Management, EHS, ESG, supply chain, compliance, cyber /ICS, etc.
Strong influencing skills, problem‑solving, and ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments.
English proficiency required; French, Spanish, Norwegian, or Icelandic a plus.
Ability to travel internationally 1–3 times per year.
