The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in API development, particularly with Java (Spring Boot), and expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining APIs, collaborating with teams, and utilizing modern development tools and practices. Qualificações

• 5+ years of overall professional experience.
• Experience in Java (Spring Boot) for API Development.
• 3 years of API Management experience.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop APIs using Apigee, KrakenD, or AWS API Gateway.
• Implement scalable and secure API architectures using REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.
• Develop backend services and frontend applications using Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript/TypeScript.

About the Role

Role : Software Engineer

Location : Brazil (Remote)

Employment Type : Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Apigee (preferred), KrakenD, or AWS API Gateway.
• Implement scalable and secure API architectures using REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.
• Develop backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and frontend applications using JavaScript / TypeScript with React or Angular.
• Work with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
• Utilize CI / CD pipelines (ADO Pipelines), GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes to manage code, build processes, and deployments.
• Write robust unit, integration, and automated tests using tools such as Cucumber and Mockito.
• Contribute to cross‑organization API standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Agile / Scrum teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of overall professional experience.
• Java (Spring Boot) – API Development.
• API Management (Apigee / KrakenD / AWS Gateway) – 3 years.
• Cloud Platforms (AWS / GCP).
• JavaScript / TypeScript.
• React / Angular.
• Strong understanding of API protocols and architectural patterns (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
• Proficiency with CI / CD, GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience writing automated tests (Cucumber, Mockito).
• Ability to write clear documentation and contribute to API governance efforts.
