The ideal candidate will have excellent investigative research, strong writing skills, and a keen interest in political and business trends across the Americas. This role involves managing projects independently and supporting consultants with research methodologies.

The Senior Researcher will conduct comprehensive open-source and public-record research to deliver high-quality analytical reports that support client decision-making, while continuously maintaining and improving the organization's research capabilities and methodologies.

Role tasks and responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive open-source and public record research under consultant guidance
• Be able to write clearly on complex topics and put findings into context
• Deliver analysis on the significance of findings for each client
• Manage small projects independently (with supervision)
• Prepare detailed analytical reports based on research findings
• Support consultants by providing research methodology recommendations and source evaluation
• Maintain and enhance research capabilities through identification of new tools and sources
• Produce supporting materials for business development initiatives

Qualifications

• Passion for OSINT and internet research
• Excellent investigative research and writing skills
• Ability to summarise, process and communicate information clearly
• Ability to think critically and unravel complex information
• Keen interest in political and business trends across the Americas, especially in the Southern Cone
• Understanding of common commercial transactions: IPOs, M&A, JVs etc
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong work ethic
• Strong spoken and written English; Spanish is not required but is preferred
