Overview

We are seeking a Senior Lead Data Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure to lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable data platforms within the Healthcare industry. This role will be responsible for driving data ingestion from on‑premise systems, building robust pipelines using Azure Data Factory, and leading large‑scale data processing using Apache Spark on Azure Databricks.

Responsibilities

Your Impact:

• Lead the architecture and implementation of end‑to‑end data pipelines from on‑premise systems to Azure.
• Design, develop, and optimize Azure Data Factory pipelines for data ingestion and orchestration.
• Lead data processing and transformation initiatives using Apache Spark.
• Use Azure Databricks as the primary Spark environment for large‑scale data workloads.
• Orchestrate Azure Data Factory with Databricks for automated, reliable data workflows.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, performance, and scalability across platforms.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and best practices to data engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams while ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards and regulations.

Qualifications

Your Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Lead Data Engineer.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Solid expertise in Azure Data Factory.
• Advanced experience with Apache Spark.
• Hands‑on experience using Azure Databricks for Spark processing.
• Experience ingesting data from on‑premise environments into cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architectures and data pipeline design.

Set Yourself Apart With

• Experience working with healthcare data (clinical, claims, EHR, etc.).
• Familiarity with data security, governance, and compliance (e.g., HIPAA or equivalent).
• Experience designing scalable, high‑availability data architectures in Azure.
