Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
  • Experience in attending external and internal audits, agreement review, process improvement, system implementation, project management, and quality control.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently to engage with local stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
  • MBA or MSA or equivalent practical experience.
  • Also Certified in Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation.
  • Ability to propose next steps and roadblock solutions and anticipate questions and challenges early, manage time, and follow work plans.
  • Experience in Sheets and other spreadsheet technology.
  • Knowledge in Growth recognition for both IFRS and USGAAP.
  • Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Ability to have attention to detail, organizational skills and focus on continuous improvement.

From developing forward‑thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities
  • Provide financial records and supporting documentation to auditors, and assist with the development of process cycle memorandums and procedural walk‑throughs.
  • Use data to extract meaningful insights and monitor the performance of different areas of a business.
  • Manage ownership and accountability for accuracy, timeliness, effectiveness and efficiency of financial reporting and controllership processes (e.g. month-end close, Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance / Sheet B / S analysis, etc), Accounting International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), tax operation and compliance, internal controls and risk management.
  • Be able to perform general business reviews for Non Standard agreements in light of IFRS, USGAAP and internal policies.
  • Manage third party service providers and also make sure that company processes are in line with internal controls and global processes.
