This role is ideal for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who is passionate about delivering high-quality software through automation, robust testing strategies, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure that complex applications and services meet functional, performance, and reliability standards. The position allows you to lead test automation initiatives, design scalable testing frameworks, and contribute across the full software development lifecycle. You will influence release readiness, quality metrics, and best practices while collaborating in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. This role balances technical hands‑on work with strategic QA leadership, impacting the overall software development process and user experience across the organization.


Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to translate business and technical requirements into effective test strategies and cases.
  • Participate in planning, estimation, design, and execution of test strategies, plans, scripts, and test data for medium to large, complex projects.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites to validate functionality, performance, and reliability throughout the release cycle.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable build and deployment workflows.
  • Work with database and network teams to validate production deployments and ensure operational readiness.
  • Monitor product quality, test coverage, and release readiness, reporting findings to stakeholders.
  • Identify gaps in QA processes, advocate for improvements, and mentor teams in testing best practices.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and defect prevention initiatives.

Requirements
  • Completion of a post‑secondary program in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technology field.
  • 3–5+ years of QA experience with a strong focus on test automation.
  • Programming experience in C# and JavaScript, with knowledge of Microsoft development stack including SQL Server, Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps.
  • Hands‑on experience with test automation tools such as MS Test, Selenium, and modern JavaScript testing frameworks.
  • Experience testing web and desktop applications, APIs (REST), and working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure), GitHub Actions, messaging systems (ActiveMQ), and observability tools (Grafana, New Relic).
  • Solid understanding of databases, SQL, and data validation.
  • Knowledge of multiple testing types: functional, system, integration, UAT, performance, load, and stress testing.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills; ability to work under deadlines and in collaborative, team‑based environments.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written); Spanish language skills are a plus.
