We’re looking for a highly experienced Product Engineer to help build a next-generation AdTech platform, supporting categories such as beauty, lifestyle, UGC, and topic-based recommendations for a Euro Retail and Marketing powerhouse.
This contract role sits inside a fast-moving, cross-functional product team building internal tools and white‑labelled solutions used across wider business units. You’ll be responsible for scoping, designing, and developing features end‑to‑end — from backend services to polished, user‑friendly front‑end experiences.
This is a hands‑on build role, perfect for an engineer with strong product instincts and experience delivering consumer‑facing or AdTech‑driven discovery systems.
Product Engineering & Feature Ownership
Build and evolve a creator discovery solution end‑to‑end using Node.js and React
Own product features from concept → prototype → implementation → iteration
Work closely with product managers, data teams, and internal partners to define requirements
Rapidly test, validate, and iterate on user workflows and ranking experiences
API & Platform Integrations
Integrate with social‑platform APIs (e.g., YouTube Data API , Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest)
Develop services to ingest, enrich, and structure creator data (categories, topics, UGC signals, relevance scoring)
Optimise ingestion and discovery pipelines for performance and scale
AdTech & Recommendation Work
Build components that support advertising partners, sponsorship matching, and creator‑brand fit
Implement logic for topic / category classification, recommendation ranking, and metadata structuring
Work on internal tools and white‑label solutions used by cross‑functional teams
Backend & Frontend Engineering
Build scalable backend services in Node.js (REST, GraphQL, event‑driven services)
Develop polished UIs in React , ensuring high usability and clarity for internal teams
Ensure strong code quality, automated testing, and reliable CI / CD
Collaboration & Delivery
Partner closely with engineering leads, PMs, data scientists, and marketing / AdTech teams
Operate in a rapid, iterative environment with short feedback loops
Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to long‑term platform direction
Support a healthy engineering culture focused on velocity, clarity, and product impact
5+ years as a product‑focused engineer
Strong hands‑on experience with Node.js and React
Experience integrating with social media APIs (YouTube essential; Instagram / TikTok / Pinterest a plus)
Experience in AdTech, marketing tech, creator platforms, or discovery / recommendation systems
Experience building internal tools, dashboards, or white‑label solutions
Strong product mindset — comfortable owning features, making trade‑offs, and shipping iteratively
Ability to translate ambiguous ideas into clear technical plans
Strong communication, stakeholder alignment, and cross‑functional collaboration
Experience with video / content metadata (categories, beauty, topics, “lookalike” discovery)
Understanding of ranking, scoring, or classification models
Background with UGC / creator ecosystems (YouTube creators, UGC workflows, performance marketing)
Experience with event‑driven microservices or data pipelines
GraphQL experience
Experience in high‑scale consumer‑facing platforms
High‑impact greenfield project
Central to the business’ advertising & creator strategy
Autonomy to shape the product and tech direction
