What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Lead a team to generate sales revenue by promoting the employer's products and services to targeted accounts
  • Provide coaching and training to sales representatives to enhance their performance
  • Oversee the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new sales team members
  • Maintain current business relationships with customers to secure long-term commitments and revenue

What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience selling into State, Local, and Education (SLED) Accounts
  • Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience leading successful sales teams
  • Strong financial acumen and a consistent record of achieving targeted sales goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
  • Strong understanding of account management and the strategic selling process
  • Experience selling dark fiber and wavelength solutions
  • Ability to present effectively to executive-level audiences
  • Ability to travel approximately 30-50% of the time
