ADP SBS division is hiring a Lead Quality Assurance Analyst – Test Engineer

In this role, you will build ADP’s Retirement Services solutions to help our customers save time, stay compliant, offer and manage retirement plans to their employees. You will work within a Scrum team to bring the designs and ideas to life for new backend microservices, APIs and other systems.

You will start your day on a scrum call to sync up the sprint work and goal with your team. You will spend most of your day continuously evaluating existing coverage, identifying gaps, and implementing test strategies to achieve as much confidence as possible on your automation. Your role requires you to advocate for necessary changes to improve the end‑user experience.

You don't need to know every technology, but you're an enthusiastic creator who stays current and looks forward to trying new ideas. You're always looking for new ways to make tools better.

In this role, you will work with the development team to gather details on features we want to develop and use that information to build and execute product testing for ADP's web‑based Human Resources solutions to determine customer usability before deployment. This role is critical to making sure we deploy usable products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Agile:You understand that an agile environment requires flexibility. Sometimes the scope is not fully written and you will have to talk with the Product Owner and the team to get more details and complement the User Stories. You and the team will define the sprint goal together. Working in two‑week sprints, you need to keep up with timelines. Time constraints and fluidity of work often mean taking a creative approach to your testing strategy. Starting test development in parallel with the feature development may be one option.
  • Create & Test:You'll define test plans and scenarios and will implement automated test cases for large‑scale, complex software applications. You will focus on the verification and validation of applications from a system and end‑user perspective.
  • Collaborate:We work collaboratively, so you will communicate and collaborate with technical developers and multiple stakeholders for your products. You'll articulate clear and compelling reasons to persuade developers and Product Owners to make product changes for the end user's benefit.
  • Learning:You're always learning new codes and eager to figure things out as you learn.
  • Challenges:Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to look for a solution.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
  • Advanced knowledge and hands‑on experience in:
    • Quality Assurance Analysis and Test Engineering;
    • Writing comprehensive test scenarios;
    • Using API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI;
    • Testing web UI and API‑based applications;
    • Implementing UI test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Cucumber
    • Executing SQL or NoSQL database queries;
    • Working with Continuous Integration processes and tools like Jenkins.
  • Professional experience conducting manual, integration, smoke, performance, and regression tests.
  • Practical development experience in languages such as JavaScript, Java, or C#.
  • Professional experience as a Release Manager, including risk assessment and release planning.
  • Familiarity with observability practices and tools, such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
  • Experience with performance testing and optimization.
  • Experience with accessibility testing and standards (e.g., WCAG, ARIA).
  • Experience creating and maintaining test plans and ensuring traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
  • Experience working with generative AI technologies, including developing, testing, or integrating GenAI models and solutions.
  • Advanced English skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE BECAUSE YOU CAN:
  • Have courageous team collaboration:Courage comes from how associates are willing to have difficult conversations, speak up, be an owner, and challenge one another's ideas to net out the best solution.
  • Deliver at epic scale:We deliver real user outcomes using strong judgment and good instincts. We're obsessed with the art of achieving simplicity with a focus on client happiness and productivity.
  • Be surrounded by curious learners:We align ourselves with other smart people in an environment where we grow and elevate one another to the next level. We encourage our associates to listen, stay agile, and learn from mistakes.
  • Act like an owner & doer:Mission‑driven and committed to leading change, you will be encouraged to take on any challenge and solve complex problems. No tasks are beneath or too great for us. We are hands‑on and willing to master our craft.
  • Give back to others:Always do the right thing for our clients and our community and humbly give back to the community where we live and work. Support our associates in times of need through ADP's Philanthropic Foundation.
