A leading mobility technology platform in São Paulo is seeking a Localization Specialist. The role involves translating and localizing user-facing content from Chinese or English into Portuguese while ensuring cultural and linguistic accuracy. Candidates must possess native-level Portuguese, professional English and Chinese skills, and a background in UX writing. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product user experience and quality in more than 12 countries.

Qualificações

  • Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in Chinese and English are essential.
  • Strong knowledge of UX writing and UI localization required.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills expected.

Team Overview
  • Translate and localize user-facing product content (e.g., UI strings, app messages, tooltips, onboarding flows) from Chinese or English into Portuguese, and vice versa.
  • Ensure consistency of terminology and tone across platforms and product areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, UX, engineering) to provide localization insights during product development.
  • Conduct linguistic QA and testing on localized builds to ensure quality and context-appropriate translation.
  • Monitor cultural and linguistic trends to inform localization decisions and improve user resonance.
Role Responsibilities
  • Serving as the linguistic and cultural bridge between Chinese, English, and Portuguese-speaking users, ensuring that our product feels native in each language.
  • Identifying and resolving language or cultural mismatches in the user experience, and ensuring content is consistent, clear, and engaging.
  • Continuously improving translation quality and scalability by maintaining glossaries, style guides, and leveraging localization tools.
Role Qualifications
  • Native or near-native fluency in Portuguese and professional proficiency in Chinese and English.
  • Strong understanding of UX writing, UI localization, and in-app user journeys.
