Overview

Siemens Mobility Latin America is looking for a Sales Expert for our region.

Position Overview:

We are hiring for a Sales Expert on the rail infrastructure market with focused efforts on our relationship with our Brazilian customers. This individual contributor works with senior management to develop partnerships and other sophisticated sales-related scenarios required to achieve short- and long-term objectives. Our team orchestrates the development of sales proposals for projects and service opportunities in alignment with the sales strategy. To develop sales strategies to protect and expand our share in the market, you should understand technology and systems concepts, regulations, code requirements, and other mobility-related factors.

Responsibilities
  • Work with senior leaders, legal, engineering, and other areas to develop commercial and technical success strategies.
  • Build relationships with contacts across the rail infrastructure market.
  • Develop an opportunity pipeline (short and long term), evaluate and communicate market trends to help set up a current and future sales strategy.
  • Develop an understanding of different signaling technologies and the ability to understand customer requirements and apply the best solution for a given application.
  • Actively participate in developing project estimates and proposals by analyzing drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to help prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services for the railroad and rail transit signal system market.
  • Understand and drive the review of contractual requirements and technical specifications to determine a winning sales approach.

Proven advanced understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, and performance management with 5+ years of hands-on successful experience in rail signaling-related project bidding and proposal management and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical preferred.
  • Mathematical proficiencies, including financial analysis.
  • Ability to travel as the need arises.
  • Give informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers.
  • Demonstrate outstanding oral and written communicative skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and interpersonal skills while working under pressure and interruptions.
  • Work well independently and as part of a team, demonstrating support for team decisions.
  • Strong management skills & ability in terms of written & verbal communication; presentation skills; problem identification, categorization and solving; people skills; customer management and negotiation skills.
  • English & Portuguese proficiency are required. Spanish proficiency is nice to have.
