Senior Quality Engineer – Test Automation & Cloud Modernization

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to be part of our team and work on the modernization of a large-scale messaging platform for a global leader in the aviation industry. In this position, you'll ensure and evolve the quality of multiple systems, working closely with teams in different countries. You need advanced or fluent English proficiency to effectively communicate with different teams during the workday.

What will you be doing?

• Define and implement a test strategy aligned with the Test Pyramid principles.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for backend services.
• Ensure high-quality standards through test planning, test case creation, and execution.
• Work in a DevOps-oriented environment, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with development teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and define test scenarios.
• Monitor and analyze test results, tracking quality metrics and software coverage evolution.
• Support and mentor junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality within the team.

Requirements for this challenge:

• Deep understanding of the Test Pyramid and ability to apply it effectively.
• Solid experience in test planning strategies and writing test cases/scenarios.
• Strong test automation experience, especially for backend services.
• Hands‑on experience with API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Experience working in a mature DevOps environment with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
• Ability to collaborate directly with clients, gathering business requirements and defining testing strategies.
• Willingness to work with different technologies and continuously learn.
• Strong communication skills, including advanced English proficiency.

You will stand out if you have:

• Experience with front-end test automation tools like Cypress.
• Familiarity with BDD (Behavior‑Driven Development) using Gherkin and Cucumber.
• Experience with performance testing and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of quality metrics and techniques for tracking test coverage evolution.
